Yesteryear Collection - Chocolat Menier

Introduced in 1979 for the French market initially but made available to all other major markets within fifteen months. Early releases for the French market were packaged in wood grain (H) boxes with an affixed pale blue sticker.

Livery: (Tampo)
Van sides: 'Chocolat Menier' and diamond in yellow.

Variations/Rarities: Released in a dark blue body with a black roof and chassis. Although the basic colour of ink used during the tampo printing process was yellow, a short run was produced using an off-white coloured ink. The yellow tampo decoration can be a light, or a dark tone.
The very last issues were fitted with badly matched lighter blue doors but this is not considered a variant.
Again many different types of wheels were used up by Lesney Products. Less common are models with other than chrome-plated 12-spoke wheels, these being chrome 24-spoke, red 12 spoke, solid red and dark green 12 spoke wheels.
